This is just in.
Thanks to Mr. Z, an Insider from The Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Today, just few hours ago, I had a ‘contact’ from someone, from within the FCO, who informed me, as an admirer of my work and my stand (quoting Howard Zinn, ”Dissent is the highest form of patriotism”, and of course, stating the obvious, the top of the establishment is full of the yes-people, hence, we are going down the drain, as a country), and told me that, there is a fierce war going on between the Ministry of Defence (UK) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office plus the MI6 (UK), on the conduct and handling of the Libyan Crisis: the latter has hijacked the crisis, and the Generalissimo is now, Mr. Hague.
The Information goes likes this;
”During the earlier stages of the post-UN Resolution 1973, the MOD was at the forefront in conducting, and accepting the role of, Humanitarian Intervention in Libya. However, as time past, a month after, and after the FCO and France sought to ”turn the crisis into something all new”, for commercial rather than national or Humanitarian Interests, the MOD, especially, after the initial and correct reassessment of the military ineffectiveness in ousting, that seeking a regime change, against Mr. Gaddaffi, General Hague, UK Foreign Minister, placed upon himself the role of the Supreme Commander of UK Libyan Forces, and with the assistance of the Secret Services, the MI6, the latter have turned the conflict into a new Indonesian Model of the twenty-first century, seeking a forceful removal of a regime, by themselves, as they did to Suharto in the 1970s”.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is why we having so much trouble in Libya. This is why we seemed bogged down without any real objective? This is why, in the end, the incumbent regime of Gaddaffi will survive, or unless we have the stupidity of the courage to defy the age of 24-7 media, the age of ‘International responsibility’, the age of anxieties and difficulties, that were absent during the old Indonesia Crisis, and ever-present today.
This, in short, is the main reason for chaos and for waste in Libya: the internal war.
Well, on behalf of my readers, thank you, Mr. Z.
